Hummer in the Beebalm

This is our fifth summer in Nova Scotia, and our gardens are finally close to what I envisioned when we were looking at the house back in October 2007. At that time, the house was literally in the middle of a hayfield, with no landscaping other than about 10 feet of sod across the front of the house.

One of the best parts of the garden is watching the butterflies and birds enjoying it. And watching them enjoy the garden is one of the things I enjoy most about the garden!
