Cheery blooms

No one has told my Christmas cactus that it is not time to bloom yet. Maybe that's a good thing, since we had a full week of gloom, torrential rains, and wind and despite all that my Christmas cactus was full of cheer. But, the sun is finally shining and we are off this afternoon for a well deserved walk on the beach to soothe the soul.

Isn't it fun how they're so far ahead of the season? I have two different ones in bloom now, two forming buds, and my big orchid cactus is also starting to think about forming buds, but it'll be several months before it starts its show. I appreciate the cheery colour here in my office, especially during the drab days we've had recently.

I have a question for you with regards to calendars, but I'm going to look for your email and ask that way. Nice blog--found you through ScotiaToday, where I'm also letting my blog feed run.
