always things to photograph

The garden is done for the season, but I still find things to photograph. I was up early this morning, with the frost still on the ground. Some bee balm, with chinese lanterns in the background.
Chinese lanterns....the only pop of colour left in the garden. Some mother of thyme, with a weed peeking through. I refuse to weed in mid November!

Gorgeous, Sara! We haven't had a suitable frost for photography yet this fall. Not this sort.

I will tell you that weeding in November makes for less work next spring. For when you're bored and want to be outside in the garden, of course. Not for cold rainy snowy blustery days. :-)

I love those lanterns, and don't see them in gardens around here... I wonder why? Are they easy? I'm going to look for them this spring and maybe try a patch.
