Time flies

There has been lots going on over the past week, and no time to blog. I've been busy with the 2009 Paws For Charity Art Book Project. The books are now available, and it's been chaos around here sending out press releases and such. The participants are all enthusiastic, which is wonderful. We've even managed to hit the number one staff pick spot on blurb.com. Not sure how long our book will be in the number one spot, but it's exciting.

Our project has also been blogged about by Dog Art Today thanks to another one of our participants.

But I still do have a life of my own, and must remember to take a break from my projects. Here are a couple of photos from recent ATVing with G's machine. We stick to our own property...20 acres seems big enough for now. You can see Mulligan running behind us. Both dogs love to run with the ATV.
The above photo shows us going up the driveway for the original homestead on our property. I don't imagine there were any trees along the old driveway then...a little narrow for today's vehicles.
Some memorable moments from the past week...all with no photos to go with them:
Sitting at the dining room table watching a red tailed hawk sitting high in our trees throughout the whole meal.
Watching a herd of deer graze in the lower hay field.
Waking up at 5:00 in the morning to hear the dogs barking. John investigated with a flashlight and discovered a herd of 20 deer in our backyard, very close to the house (not good news for our flower gardens this spring and summer).
Driving along the Aspotogan Pennisula and seeing a healthy red fox walking along the side of the road. We pulled over to watch him. He didn't seem too concerned about our nearby car. He was beautiful, big and healthy looking.
Now, time to go and make some more memories.
