In the quiet of dusk

I'm not what you would call a religious person. I don't go to church. But when I stand outside in the cool November air at dusk and watch the sun set...and listen to nothing but the sound of the wind in the trees... ...just silence, and beauty all around. I am awestruck. I can only think of the words "magnificent" and "majestic". So beautiful it brings tears to my eyes.

And I am thankful.

and this is why I'm so glad we've become friends through the blogging world. You are so genuine and full of heart. SO many miss the beauty around us. It could be big as this or could be little, but we are surrounded by so much magnificent. :-)

My dad and I call it the Church of Nature. It restores and inspires us. It makes us want to be better people. It fosters stewardship. Everything a "real" church does.
My husband and I had a chance to go to Nova Scotia in September and we didn't take advantage of it. I'm hoping that chance will come around again. It looks like a beautiful part of the world.
